Hurghada Lovers is a reasonable choice if you want to book by WhatsApp and pay in cash on the boat, and a weak one if you want to know who you are dealing with. Its snorkel day is clearly described and fairly priced, but the site names no company, address or licence, and we could not find it by name in the directory of Egypt's diving and water-sports chamber. The trips it sells can be had on the platforms for about the same money.

Verdict
3.2/ 5
A straightforward €25 snorkel day with lunch, drinks, entry fees and Hurghada pick-up included, paid in cash with free cancellation up to 24 hours before. The weak points are the 25–35 guests per boat and the missing company details: no legal name, no address, no licence, no boat named. Fine for a simple boat day if you confirm the boat in writing; for the same price a platform booking gives you a paper trail.

Who Hurghada Lovers are
The site presents itself as a travel agency for families and couples, organising group and individual excursions in Hurghada, Marsa Alam, Sharm El Sheikh and Cairo. It has menus for trips from Hurghada, Soma Bay, Makadi Bay, El Gouna and Sahl Hasheesh, many language versions, and a lot of articles on Egyptian history. What it does not publish is a legal name, a street address or a licence number. It names no boats of its own.
Hurghada Lovers is not Sea Lovers, or Hurghada Excursions
- Sea Lovers (sealoverssafari.de) is a different business, and it is on the CDWS black list of companies and websites that are not operating legally. Do not mix the two up.
- Hurghada Lovers' own About page calls the business "Hurghada Excursions Lovers". It is not hurghada-excursions.com, the GTT Travel & Tourism agency (our Hurghada Excursions review).
What Hurghada Lovers tours include
The flagship is the "Snorkeling Boat Trip from Hurghada", sold as half or full day. Its site lists:
Pick-up at your Hurghada hotelPublished pick-up time; transfer included for Hurghada hotels
Boats leave the marinaHurghada day boats usually leave between 08:30 and 09:00
Snorkel stops, beach and lunch buffetReefs and beach not named in advance; water, cola, tea and coffee included
Back at the marinaUsually 15:30–16:30 on Hurghada day boats
Back at your hotelPublished return time
Included, by its own list: hotel transfer within Hurghada, "all taxes, entrance fees", mask and fins, lunch buffet, drinks and lifejackets. Not included: tips and photos. An intro dive can be added for €25. The group size is given as 25 to 35 guests, which is a big boat; ask how many snorkel guides come along (the CDWS rule is one guide per 12 snorkelers, so a full boat needs at least three).
The trip page does not name the reefs or the beach. Ask whether the day stops at Orange Bay, Giftun or Magawish, and how long you get ashore: on cheap Hurghada days it is often about 1 hour.
The site also sells Orange Bay, Paradise Island, Dolphin House, a Bianca Island beach day (€70), Sharm El Naga (€65), private speedboat rentals from El Gouna and the Grand Aquarium (€50). Two of these deserve a second look:
- Bianca Island. Utopia, between Soma Bay and Safaga, is sold by some sellers as Bianca Island; check which beach club the trip lands at. Utopia's own day programme costs USD 50 for adults without transfer (Utopia island).
- Grand Aquarium. The aquarium's own adult price is $35 at the gate and $32 online. Ask what the €50 adds, such as a transfer, before you pay it (Grand Aquarium review).

Hurghada Lovers prices compared
Hurghada Lovers does not sell on GetYourGuide, Headout or Tiqets under its own name, so the listings below are comparable trips, not its own:
- Zanetta's Orange Bay day, from $26.35 on GetYourGuide, about 2 hours on the beach, island fees covered.
- A Magawish snorkel yacht day, from $23.55 on GetYourGuide; the listing does not name the boat company.

So €25 is not a saving: it is about the going rate. What you are buying is the payment model. Paying cash on the day suits people who do not want to give card details or who decide late. The price of that is the paper trail: if the port closes or the boat does not turn up, you deal with the seller directly, while on GetYourGuide you are offered a new date or a full refund when the boat company cancels for weather.
Outside the €25: tips, photos, drinks you buy on the beach, and pick-up if you stay outside Hurghada. Ask the outer-resort surcharge if you are in Makadi, Sahl Hasheesh, El Gouna, Soma Bay or Safaga; other sellers charge about €8–15 per person.
| What | Price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| "Environmental fee" on hotel-desk island trips | about €5 | TUI / Travco island trips: not included, paid in cash at the marina (local currency, USD, EUR, GBP or CHF accepted). tui.co.uk ↗ |
| "National Park fees and VAT" on some platform listings | EUR 10 | Per person, cash on the day, listed as not included on several Headout and Tiqets Hurghada boat trips. Read the listing's "not included" line. |
| Coast-guard fee (dive-centre island and Dolphin House trips) | EUR 5 | Per person, not included in Egypt Divers' trip prices. No official marina fee for day passengers is published. egyptdivers.com ↗ |
| Colona Divers — mandatory reef tax | EUR 5 | Per day, on top of boat and dive prices. colona.com ↗ |
| Blue Paradise — environmental & entertainment tax | EUR 6 | Per person per day, paid on the spot; lunch (€6) is also extra on its snorkel day. blueparadise.be ↗ |
| James & Mac — permit fee | EUR 7 | Per day for non-divers and divers on its boats. james-mac.com ↗ |
Checked on 20 October 2026. Many boat trips include the island or park fee, many don't: read the listing.
Hurghada Lovers reviews: what to check
We found no review themes for Hurghada Lovers that we could rely on. Before you book, read recent reviews of hurghadalovers.com itself, not of "Hurghada excursions" in general, and ask by WhatsApp:
- the name of the boat and of the company that runs it, which you can check in the CDWS member directory;
- which reefs and which beach the day visits, and for how long;
- whether the park fee is really inside "all taxes, entrance fees";
- what happens if the port closes for wind.

How to book Hurghada Lovers
You book through the site or WhatsApp and pay the guide in cash when you are picked up; the trip page promises free cancellation up to 24 hours before. Bring the amount in cash, and keep the WhatsApp confirmation with the price and inclusions. The UK Foreign Office advises booking through your resort or approved agents, and asking the crew for a safety briefing before departure (FCDO safety advice). Tipping the crew is customary and modest: small Egyptian-pound notes into the crew box at the end of the day.
Alternatives
- Same price, published supplier: Zanetta Tours, Orange Bay from $26.35 direct or on GetYourGuide, up to 35 guests.
- Smaller boats: dive-centre snorkel seats, such as Colona Divers at €28 with lunch plus a €5 reef tax.
- Online agency: Egypt Excursions Online, card payment, but no refund inside 3 days.
- Hotel desk: TUI's island cruise from £41 with insurance (hotel excursion desks).
All reviews are in the operators directory; how the platforms compare is in booking platforms.
