Paradise Island Hurghada review: the Hula Hula cruise seller, not the beach

Paradise Island Hurghada is the name under which a Hula Hula island cruise is sold — it is not the Paradise beach on Giftun. The cruise is a decent budget day from about $27, but the company behind it publishes almost nothing about itself.

Paradise Island Hurghada is a seller name, used on GetYourGuide and Expedia group sites, for cruises and speedboat trips to Hula Hula Island with hotel pick-up and lunch. The Hula Hula cruise sold under this name is a cheap, well-reviewed day out, but you are booking a listing rather than a company you can look up, so ask your questions before you pay.

The name causes confusion in two directions. It is not the Paradise beach on the southern tip of Giftun Kebir, which many boats visit and which is often sold as "Paradise Island" — see our Paradise Island guide. And Hula Hula, the place this seller goes to, is not Paradise either.

Which "Paradise Island" is this?

Three names get mixed up in Hurghada, and this seller sits in the middle of them.

  • Paradise beach (the place). A beach on the southern tip of Giftun Kebir, inside the Northern Red Sea Islands protectorate, sold by many companies as "Paradise Island". It sits beside Mahmya, about 45–60 minutes from Hurghada Marina by yacht.
  • Hula Hula (the place this seller visits). A beach club sold as Hula Hula Island. Sellers place it on Giftun or pair it with Magawish, a separate island off south Hurghada — so ask which island your boat lands on. Our Hula Hula guide explains the muddle.
  • Paradise Island Hurghada (the seller). The name on the Hula Hula cruise listing — a trade name, not a place.

Some agencies blur the names further, for example selling a "Hula Hula (Paradise)" island trip. Treat every "Paradise" and "Hula Hula" title as a question: which beach, on which island, for how long?

Who is Paradise Island Hurghada?

It is a trading name used on booking platforms. It has no working website of its own — its old domain now redirects to an unrelated site, so do not go looking for it there — and we found no Tripadvisor, Trustpilot or Facebook profile for it. No legal name, office, marina, boat name or licence is published.

That does not mean the trip is bad: plenty of Hurghada boat days are sold by companies with a thin public profile, and the reviews on this listing are good. It does mean that the platform is your only real point of contact. Keep the booking on GetYourGuide, and keep the voucher, which names the meeting point.

Egypt's snorkel providers must be members of the Chamber of Diving and Water Sports (CDWS). Its water-sports member list and black list are public; if you deal with any seller directly, check them there first.

What it sells: the Hula Hula cruise

The listing sold under this name is the Hula Hula cruise with lunch, massage and snorkeling, a full day of about 8 hours. The listing describes snorkeling over coral reefs, time on the beach, water sports, hotel pick-up and "flexible tour options"; the massage is in the title. What it does not say clearly is which island the beach is on, or whether any island or park fee is included.

Paradise Island Hurghada on GetYourGuide →Prices checked on 20 October 2026

Expect the shape of most budget island days out of Hurghada: pick-up between about 07:00 and 08:15, boat out around 08:30–09:00, two reef stops, a beach stop, lunch on board and back at the marina around 15:30–16:30. Time on the beach on cheap trips is often about 1 hour; on others it is closer to 2 hours. Ask before you book.

Prices: platform only

On GetYourGuide the Hula Hula cruise is from about $27 per person — the same band as the cheapest Orange Bay yacht days. There is no direct price to compare, because the seller has no website or published price list.

Budget for the usual extras on the day. If the boat lands on Giftun, the protectorate fee is USD 5 per foreign visitor; some trips include it, others ask about €5 in cash at the marina. Some operators add a coast-guard fee of about €5 per person. Pick-ups from Makadi, Sahl Hasheesh, El Gouna, Soma Bay or Safaga often cost extra, and photos, drinks on the beach and tips are rarely included. Tipping the crew is customary and modest: small Egyptian-pound notes in the crew box at the end of the day. Our price guide sets these against other trips.

Paradise Island Hurghada cruise reviews: what travellers say

The listing is rated 4.4 from 2,094 reviews on GetYourGuide — good, though Hula Hula days generally score a little below the best-rated Orange Bay trips. The complaint that comes up most about Hula Hula days in general is short time on the island, often about an hour.

So before booking, check three things in the listing and recent reviews: how long the boat stays at the beach, which island it is, and whether the reviews describe the same programme you are buying. Bring your passport or a clear copy — passenger names go on a coast-guard list.

How to book

Book on GetYourGuide. Its default is free cancellation up to 24 hours before unless the listing says otherwise — check this one — and if the supplier cancels for weather, you are offered a new date or a full refund. Our platforms guide explains the rules. Then:

Before you pay for a Hula Hula cruise

  1. Ask which island the boat lands on, and how long you stay on the beach.
  2. Ask whether island, park and coast-guard fees are included, and what you pay in cash.
  3. Ask how many guests the boat takes and how many snorkel guides it carries — the rule is one guide per 12 snorkelers.
  4. Confirm the pick-up area and any surcharge for your resort.

Alternatives

If you want more time on the sand, Zanetta's Orange Bay day gives about 2 hours ashore at a similar price — see our Zanetta Tours review and the Orange Bay guide. If you want a Giftun beach with fixed shade and a published timetable, look at Mahmya. For the real Paradise beach, use our Paradise Island guide. Every reviewed company is listed in our operators directory, and the Giftun guide explains the island's beaches and fees.

Is Paradise Island Hurghada the same as Paradise Island on Giftun?
